Beautiful Kashmir in Winters

After arrival in Srinagar, get a warm welcome from our representative who will then drive you to the hotel. Check-in and relax a bit. Now proceed towards the mesmerizing Dal Lake for an hour-long shikara ride. Sail through the Dal Lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains, a sight to behold. Sip kahwa (traditional Kashmiri tea) while you experience the sheer natural beauty and serenity of Dal Lake. Get yourself clicked and explore some items from the floating market. Now we will take you for an Indian lunch. Next, visit the lovely Mughal Garden-Shalimar Bagh which looks appealing as it gets covered in snow making it look mystic. Later visit the local markets for shopping in Srinagar to buy some souvenirs of Kashmir such as kesar, walnuts, walnut woodcrafts, papier mache items, pashmina shawls, etc. By late evening get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed with our representative to Gulmarg Valley, famed as the “Meadow of Flowers,”. It is heaven for the snow and snow adventure lovers who flock here in great numbers from across the globe. After reaching Gulmarg, we will visit the bewitching Alpather Lake, which is ideally located between the Alpather twin mountains. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains making the landscape look like a wonderland. It is approximately 13 km from the valley. From November to June, the lake remains frozen. Visit the Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve for a visual treat of several rare species of animals such as snow leopards and musk deer, etc. Return to the Gulmarg Hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast get ready to experience the best winter attraction of Gulmarg- the Gondola Ride. It is the second-longest and highest cable ride in the world. This ride takes you to the snow-covered mountains and no wonder it might even snow during that time making the ride all the more adventurous!

Another reason for visiting Gulmarg in winter is skiing. This place attracts both amateurs and professional skiers from across the globe. Try your hand at skiing or just enjoy the thrill of sledging. Post such fascinating experiences, spend a restful night at the hotel.
