Spend the night at the hotel in Leh.
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Later, you will be heading to Sham Valley for a day tour. There are many places to explore in Sham Valley.
Begin by first visiting Gurudwara Pather Sahib. It is a Sikh shrine constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Seek blessings at this holy place and head to Magnetic Hills. It is a Cyclops hill that gives an optical illusion that defies gravity. You will be amazed to see vehicles climbing upward on neutral gear instead of going downhill.
Next, you will go ahead to see the Confluences of the Zanskar River and Indus River. Witnessing the majestic confluence where two rivers merge into one is an experience of profound natural beauty. After this beautiful nature exploration, head to the Hall of Fame and feel the patriotism towards our Motherland. It is a museum built in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for India in the Indo-Pak War. If time permits, also visit the Alchi Monastery. It is believed to be the oldest monastery in the region. Soak in the true Ladakhi culture at the monastery and experience the tranquillity at this place.
After a fun-filled day, you will return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
Begin day 3 of your Ladakh holidays with a wholesome breakfast and get ready to checkout as today you will be travelling from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass. Standing tall at 18,380 feet, Khardungla Pass is an iconic gateway to the Himalayas. It offers breathtaking vistas and an adrenaline-pumping adventure being the world’s highest motorable pass. Make a pit stop at the pass before heading to Nubra Valley.
After you have checked in to your camp and are well-rested you can leave for your sightseeing tour. Nubra Valley provides a unique blend of tranquillity and adventure with its stark desert landscape and captivating monasteries. Visit the Diskit Monastery, which is the oldest monastery in Nubra Valley. You will be amazed by the marvellous architecture of this monastery. Proceed to Hunder Village and enjoy its cold desert, sand dunes and Bactrian camel rides. Explore Hunder Village and Panamik Hot Springs. The water at this spring is believed to have medicinal properties and hence you would require a permit to visit. Once you finish with your sightseeing tour, you can head back to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wake up to a refreshing morning and have a scrumptious breakfast. Check out from the camp and prepare to transfer to Pangong Lake. Your road trip will be via Shayok River or Wari La. Both the routes offer eye-pleasing views so enjoy the journey as you move ahead.
Once you reach your campsite at Pangong Lake, settle in and then head out to explore the vast azure expanse amidst towering mountains creating an ethereal atmosphere. Pangong Lake leaves an indelible impression on tourists who visit here. Spend the evening with your loved ones gazing at the calm lake and taking leisurely strolls.
End your day with some steaming hot dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.
Start your day early with some healthy breakfast at the campsite and then leave for Hanle. Upon your arrival in Hanle, reach your hotel and complete your check-in formalities. Once you are well rested you can leave for your sightseeing tour.
Hanle is Ladakh’s lesser-explored gem, boasting clear night skies perfect for stargazing, complemented by the serene Hanle Monastery. You can explore this offbeat village, and soak in the tranquil ambience exuding from the village. You may also take leisure walks in the pasture lands of Hanle.
Pay a visit to the Hanle Monastery and Observatory and meditate here. You can spend some quality time with your loved ones and enjoy the most panoramic aerial views of the entire village from here.
You should also visit the Indian Astronomical Observatory and spend some time learning about the sky and stargazing. Do not miss seeing the telescope here, which ranks as the third-highest optical telescope in the whole world.
Catch a beautiful sunset from the Photi La pass and capture mesmerising views from atop the elevation of 18,149 feet above sea level. Before you end your sightseeing tour, visit Kyon Tso Twin Lake for guaranteed views. The most unique thing about these twin lakes is that one is a Brakish lake and the other is a sweet lake. Later, you can head back to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare to transfer to Leh. Check in to your Leh hotel and after catching some rest, leave for your sightseeing tour in Leh.
Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting Shanti Stupa, a famous Buddhist monument. This white dome holds the relics of Buddha that were consecrated by the 14th Dalai Lama. Next visit Leh Palace and marvel at its age-old architecture. It is a 17th-century royal palace and a major tourist attraction in Leh. In the evening, you may explore the vibrant market of Leh and shop for Tibetan handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, or unique trinkets. Every corner of these bustling markets holds a treasure trove of local crafts and souvenirs.
Post this tiring day, head back to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.
