By Air: The closest airport to Nubra Valley is Bakula Rimpoche Airport and is situated in Leh. Since the valley is an isolated spot tucked far away in the Himalayas, it lags behind in transportation facilities. Most of the tourists hire private vehicles and mainly jeeps to travel across the valley. The buses to the city and neighbouring villages are limited and not frequent. It is best to hire a taxi or self-drive. Doing so also lets you stop where you want, bask in the views and take your own time to enjoy the natural surroundings.
