In recent years, the picturesque Ladakh valley has witnessed a significant improvement in the availability of both petrol and diesel fuel. Unlike in the past, when access to fuel was limited, there are now two conveniently located petrol pumps within the town of Leh itself. Additionally, another petrol pump can be found in Karu, a town situated approximately 34km away from the Manali-Leh Highway.

This enhanced presence of fuel stations in the region ensures that travellers have multiple options to refuel their vehicles without any hassle. Whether you are exploring the town of Leh or passing through Karu, you can easily find a petrol pump to replenish your fuel supply. This development has greatly alleviated concerns regarding fuel availability and provides a more convenient experience for those embarking on their journey through Ladakh.

Additionally, it is important to mention that Diskit has an operational petrol station that remains accessible even during the winter season.
