How to Reach Leh Ladakh from Chandigarh?
You can reach Leh Ladakh from Chandigardh in following ways:
By Air:
There are four airlines that operate flights from Chandigrh to Leh. These airlines include Air India, Vistara IndiGo and Air Alliance. You can get both direct and indirect flights from Chandigarh (IXC) to Leh (IXL) and will cover an aerial distance of 388 Kms. Once you reach Leh airport, you can easily get to your booked accommodation with a private transfer or a taxi.
By Train:
There is no direct train connectivity between Chandigarh and Leh. To reach Leh, you have to board a train from Chandigarh to either Jammu Tawi. From there you can take a bus or taxi service to reach Leh Ladakh. The distance between Jammu Tawi station and Leh is 667.5 km via NH1 and it will take you approximately 17 hours to reach your destination.
By Road:
The distance between Chandigarh and Leh Ladakh is approximately 695.1 km via NH 3. If you are a road trip enthusiast, make sure to have enough fuel and food supply with you. Otherwise you can travel to Jammu via train and complete the rest of your journey via cab or private transfer.
