Welcome to Ladakh! Upon your arrival at Leh airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will accompany you to your hotel. Finish your check-in procedure and rest well in your hotel.
We recommend not to begin sightseeing on day 1 to acclimatize and adjust better to the high altitude, prioritizing your well-being and allowing your body to adapt to the altitude.
Overnight stay at the Leh hotel.
You will start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then leave for your day tour of Sham Valley. It covers popular sightseeing destinations like Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Zanskar and Indus River Confluence at Nimmu, Alchi, Likir, Basgo and so much more.
Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine in Ladakh stands as a testament to faith and resilience amidst the rugged terrain. It commemorates Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s visit and holds spiritual significance, welcoming visitors with its tranquil ambience and breathtaking mountain vistas.
Next, visit Magnetic Hills and be amazed by its unique feature that defies gravity. The vehicles on this Cyclops hill do not go downwards but rather move upwards.
Your Sham Valley tour cannot be complete without seeing the Confluences of River Zanskar and River Indus. The distinct green hue of the Indus and the blue shade of the Zanskar merge here, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that’s truly worth beholding.
Make a pit stop at the Alchi Gompa. It is a vast complex that houses various Buddhist temples. The Alchi monastery housed here is the famous and oldest monastery in the Ladakh region.
While heading back, visit the Hall of Fame to meet our country’s real heroes. This museum was built in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak war.
Post a lovely Sham Valley tour, you will return to your hotel in Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, prepare to embark on yet another adventurous destination on your 7 nights and 8 days Ladakh tour. Today, you will be taking a road trip from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road.
Nubra Valley is known as the Orchard of Ladakh and is a picturesque valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Firstly, you will visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest monastery in the valley, which belongs to the Gelugpa sect. Next, you will head to the Hunder Village, renowned for its sand dunes. Here you can opt for a Bactrian camel ride if you wish to. Your last sightseeing point for the day is the Panamik Hot Springs. Due to its medicinal properties, a permit is necessary to visit the spring.
After this fun-filled day, head back to your camp in Nubra Valley for an overnight stay.
Begin the day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for your excursion to Turtuk village.
Located on the banks of the Shyok River, Turtuk is a quaint village that offers a unique combination of natural beauty, cultural richness, and warm hospitality. It is one of the offbeat destinations and lesser-known delights in Ladakh. This hidden gem is also the last outpost of India in the north, after which Pakistan administered Gilgit-Baltistan begins.
You can explore this beautiful village and stroll through its narrow lanes, admiring the traditional stone houses adorned with colourful gardens. You can also bond with the locals and explore their culture and lifestyle. A visit to the Turtuk Waterfall lets you enjoy the scenic beauty of the cascading water amidst the rugged mountain landscape. You can also visit the monastery in the village by hiking a short distance. Lastly, you can also visit the Balti Heritage House and Museum which offers a glimpse of the slowly waning Balti way of life.
Post this wonderful excursion, return to your hotel at Hunder or Diskit for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Have an early breakfast at the hotel and get ready to travel to another scenic destination – Pangong Lake. There are two routes to travel from Nubra to Pangong – via Shayok River or Wari La Pass. Both routes promise stunning views through the rugged terrain of Ladakh.
On reaching Pangong Lake, head to the campsite and settle in. By evening, you can enjoy your leisure time exploring the lake and its beautiful surroundings. Pangong Lake is considered to be the longest lake in India. The lake is so huge that the other half of it is located in China. It offers scenic views of the azure waters against the stark mountains creating an otherworldly panorama.
At night, enjoy a steaming hot dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite in Pangong Lake.
Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast at the campsite and then get ready to leave for Tso Moriri. Upon your arrival in Tso Moriri, you will check into your hotel or camp and then leave for your sightseeing tour.
Tso Moriri is considered to be one of the most beautiful, peaceful, holy and high-altitude lakes in India. The lake offers a scenic view of the snow-capped mountains surrounding it. It is home to a range of wildlife and several migratory birds, marmots and Tibetan wolves.
You can also visit the 400-year-old Korzok monastery that is located towards the western banks of the lake. It boasts of its architectural beauty and a rich history. The monastery is home to about 70 monks and houses a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and Tibetan Buddhist Paintings.
Post this tiring day, head back to your hotel or camp for dinner and a night stay.
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast and then get ready to leave for Leh. Once you reach your hotel in Leh, complete the check-in formalities and then take some rest before you begin your sightseeing tour.
